Having committed crimes across the multiverse for years, Chimera was hired by Genesis (Tyler Dayspring) on Earth-616 to free Cyber (Silas Burr) from his captivity by the extradimensional firm of Landau, Luckman & Lake (LL&L), who used Warp Chambers doors to travel across the dimensions. Chimera freed Cyber, callously murdering his guards for fun, and escaped through a WC. LL&L equipped their teenage agent Emmett to pursue her; he nicknamed her the "Gaslight Frail" as he chased her through different realities. Chimera began studying Earth mutant Wolverine (Logan/James Howlett) for Genesis, and soon clashed with him, but fled into another dimension after Wolverine put his claws through one of her hands. Chimera delivered the information on Wolverine to Genesis, and then returned to her extra-dimensional crimes.

It is believed that Chimera possesses rudimentary telekinesis and wields the wind between realities, she can form deadly telekinetic "dragons," wearing them like sock puppets that can extend from her hands; the dragons are composed from telekinetic energy which she can extend from her own form to ensnare opponents or to pick up objects.
