The Brotherhood of Failings is a band of outcasts who live on the Isle of Phreex. There is no one on the island more disagreeable to meet.

They are:
*'''Blunderer''': He is a short, fat man clothed in glittering armor and carrying a lance. Although he means well, he is prone to making mistakes.
*'''Thoughtless''': He is a tall, lean man clothed in chamois-leather and carries a wide-mouthed blunderbuss, though he never knows whether it is loaded or not.
*'''Disagreeable'''
*'''Unlucky'''
*'''Sorrowful'''
*'''Ugly'''
*'''Awkward''': He trips and stumbles constantly.
