The Peacemaker was a hero who "loved PEACE so much he was willing to FIGHT for it!"

Christopher Smith is an American peace envoy, diplomat, and pacifist so committed to peace that he is willing to use force as a superhero to advance the cause. Most of the villains he goes up against are dictators and warlords. He also founded the Pax Institute.

Peacemaker possesses an array of special non-lethal weapons. His costume incorporates a "thin, pliable body armor which shields him from ordinary bullets" and consists of a jet pack, capable of propelling him across vast distances in air and under water. His helmet features an "All-Wave Radio Receiver", and laser disintegration ray. On his belt is a pistol capable of firing non lethal, but incapacitating, nerve gas.

He invented several state of the art jet planes and an arsenal of some of the most potent weapons ever devised by man, which he stores at his stronghold in the Swiss Alps.

* Like many Charlton characters such as Tyro Team, Spookman, and Shape, the Peacemaker is in the public domain due to his first appearance being published without a valid notice. This is due to the 1909 copyright act which caused any work published without a valid copyright notice prior to January 1st 1978 to fall into the public domain upon publication.
