She is a member of the French resistance who bears a striking resemblance to Cyrano's beloved from the 17th century, Roxanne. Jeanine claims that Roxanne is in fact the name of her great grandmother. She asks the Rapier to deliver a message to an agent in Paris. He agrees and sets off on horseback to deliver the note where he is pursued by Nazis traveling by automobile. He attacks them and causes them to crash their vehicle. That night after successfully delivering the message in Paris, Jeanine congratulates him and Cyrano pledges his sword to seeking the freedom of France.
