Ronald McDonald, the Hamburger Happy Clown, is a clown who wears a yellow and red striped jumpsuit, has a box on his head, a cup on his nose, and has a magic tray that automatically generates hamburgers, fries and shakes.

*Ronald McDonald, the Hamburger-Happy Clown (1963)

*Ronald McDonald's first commercial in 1963 had no copyright notice, due to the copyright laws at the time that makes the commercial, and him, public domain.
*The original design for Ronald is much different than the modern version of the character. Only the version from the 1963 commercial is public domain.
*Ronald McDonald is still trademarked so don't try to trick people into thinking McDonalds is involved with your product.
