Pilot Nick Dimetrios encountered a woman named Diana on a remote island after making an emergency landing. While repairing his airplane, Nick gets to know Diana and she comes to fall in love with him and tries to convince him to stay with her on the island permanently. However Nick turns her down knowing he must finish his service in the war.

After being rejected, Diana reveled she is actually the Greek goddess of the moon also called Artemis, but Nick doesn't believe her. However after Diana takes him to the moon to prove her divinity, Nick then believed her claim of being a goddess. Regardless of this information and his attraction to Diana, Nick knew he must return to the war and after repairing his plane returns to battlefield and believed his time on the island was a hallucination.

During an air battle, Nick's plane is shot down but Diana saved him before the plane crashes. She again tried to convince him to leave the war and be with her instead. Nick again refuses stating his responsibilities to finish fighting the war, but after claiming that Diana saved him, Nick was discharged and sent back to the US to receive medical treatment for his mental state.

Diana and her father, Zeus going by his roman name Jupiter, arrived at the hospital in mortal guise to visit Nick. After reuniting with Diana and receiving a blessing from her father the couple chose to get married and live out their lives as mortals. They have a several child together and Diana becomes a world champion archer.
