'''Mr. ZIP''', originally known as '''Mr. P.O. Zone''' and sometimes known informally as '''Zippy''', is a cartoon mascot intended to encourage the use of ZIP codes in letter addresses. He is a postman who appears to run at a very high speed, as ZIP codes help mail get delivered quicker (though, in real life, ZIP codes do not literally make individual mail carriers faster, they simply aid sorting machinery).

* Because Mr. ZIP was created for a US government organisation, he is automatically public domain.
