'''Farallone''' is a member of a secret group of vigilantes who take justice into their own hands by targeting individuals deemed corrupt or harmful to society. Both him and another member named Forrest share an affection for the sole female member of the group, a woman by the name of Lilith who is completely devoted to the cause to pay any heed to their tenderness.

A wealthy businessman they have been keeping under surveillance over, known as “The Man Who Has Lived Too Long”, is voted to be terminated by the society and Forrest is selected to carry out the assassination when he receives the Ace of Hearts in a deck of cards. The bomb disguised as a cigarette lighter is likely to kill him so Lilith offers to marry Forrest so that it will give him courage, which he accepts, much to Farallone's grief.

However, Lilith has a change of heart the following day and begs Forrest not to go through with the mission, but he is honor-bound to carry out the assassination. A distraught Lilith pleads with Farallone to stop Forrest and he agrees to help the couple escape the society's punishment if Forrest fails his task, but extracts a promise of marriage from Lilith if Forrest is killed.

Meanwhile, Forrest decides to abandon his quest at the café where his target usually eats after spotting a young couple who are eloping next to the rich man's table. Returning to the secret council, the leader Morgridge sends issues the order for Forrest's execution. Despite his pleas, Farallone is given the task to kill Forrest. Laughing, he carries out his part of the bargain with Lilith by setting off the bomb at the secret society's table, killing all present and setting Lilith and Forrest free.
