Professor Doodlepoodle, N.U.T., famed in both hemispheres and New Jersey, after many years of earnest effort and short rations, finally succeeded in completing a mechanical man that is more capable than a human that he christens '''Percy'''.

Percy is, at first glance, a marvel of the age, a mechanical man capable of performing any task with a mere push of a button on his back - i.e. pushing the "walking button" makes Percy walk; by pushing the "dish washer button", Percy will wash dishes, etc. Unfortunately, this mechanical man is not the most gentle of creatures to all who cross his path. Percy takes instructions quite literally and will follow through with commands until the switch is flipped off, a fact his creator often laments by explaining that when it comes to brains: "Percy has nix".

Despite the military's interest in this formidable force, they realize the high cost of their involvement in Percy's wanton destruction.
