'''Biff''' (father), '''Muffy''' (mother), '''Buffy''' (daughter), and '''Biff Jr.''' (son) are a normal 1950s-era white-picket-fence family, led by a corporate executive patriarch who's wife will more than excitedly brag about how he "stops exciting things from happening" - on a normal Sunday drive, the family are spoken to by an aggressive voice from the sky who insists they must play ''Pole Position'' - a giant hand picks them up and throws them into a drag race filled with explosions, with the winner's eyeballs being turned into steel-belted radials by the sheer intensity of the race.

*''Pole Position'' Atari commercial (1983)

* The commercial for ''Pole Position'' was released without a copyright notice and not registered within 5 years, making it public domain under 1980s-era copyright law.
* The ''Pole Position'' video game remains copyrighted.
* Another character named Clarence is referenced in the commercial's narration, but not seen.
** Biff's name is speculative based on his son's name, as it is not stated in the commercial. It is possible the character labled as Biff here may actually be Clarence.
