Buzzy the Crow is a boater hat wearing cartoon crow, first appearing in the cartoon, ‘The Stupidstitous Cat’. Buzzy is a bit of an every man, with a "matter of fact" personality, just wishing to go about his day undisturbed. Unfortunately, the crow often ends up as an ingredient in a meal, usually cooked by antagonistic cats, such as the titular feline in the aforementioned cartoon.
In Cat O' Nine Ails (1948), the bird faces off a dimwitted cat who thinks that eating crows is an ailment for his medical condition. The bird eventually outsmarts the cat by using different items such as a iron or paint.
Buzzy's voice actor, Jackson Beck based the character's voice on comedian Eddie Anderson's "Rochester" character; incorporating his trademark speaking pattern and gravel voice into Beck's performance.

* Due to the character's subject matter, on repackaged television series, Buzzy's voice was redubbed to remove offending content.
* Despite Harvey Hits #18 being public domain, Katsy is still copyrighted as his debut short No Ifs, Ands or Butts (1954) had it's copyright renewed in 1982, although the originality of Katsy is debatable as he is a recolor of Katnip who has early versions in the public domain.
* Cat O' Nine Ails (1948) would feature a Cat that would later be redesigned as Katnip, his personality and the shorts formula would set a precedent for future Buzzy and Katnip cartoons.
