Police commissioner Cal Dalton felt unsatisfied with his job, so he became a costumed vigilante to "ferret" out the criminals that eluded the police.

His powers included the skills of a ferret and the ability to fly. He also had great and possibly superhuman strength, and either he or his costume was bulletproof.
