Hailing from the frozen reaches of the Arctic North, Doctor Frost possessed the ability to project powerful beams of cold from his hands, allowing him to freeze objects, including an opponent’s weapons, create ice sleds across water, and encase himself in a layer of ice thick enough to withstand powerful explosions. However, his abilities were limited in hot, dry environments, where his freezing powers could not function effectively. Even without his extraordinary abilities, Doctor Frost remained a skilled and formidable fighter.

Unlike many heroes, Doctor Frost had no secret identity and openly fought against a wide range of threats. His adversaries included the subterranean creature Vulcan (“a monster from the core of the Earth who uses scalding steam as a weapon and seeks to destroy civilization”), the crime boss known as the Leader, the ruthless gangster Scarponi, and Professor Gunther and his army of invisible criminals.

In the 24th issue of Prize, Bulldog Denny gathered all the Prize Comics superheroes to fight Frankenstein. These included Black Owl, Dr. Frost, Green Lama, General & Corporal and Yank & Doodle.
