Professional football player Shorty Wilson retired from the game and decided to use his skills to "turn the heat on the Underworld."

He had a crew of ex-criminals who assisted him including Nitro the demolitions expert, Human Fly the stuntman, Dippy the pickpocket, and the Dwarf's girlfriend and expert marksman Arsenic Gayne.

He had no powers but, was athletic and a good fighter.

*Some of his adventures were later re-titled and re-printed by St. John as the Blue Monk and with his girlfriend Arsenic being renamed Satana.
