Saäri is the archetypical "White goddess" of P.L. Publishing and she only appeared in her own title that lasted one issue. She was a redhead female warrior with no origin story, but being a capable defender of the jungle against invaders from Europe and Africa slavers, but she had a limited vocabulary.

Her first story follows Saäri as she tried to protect the superstitious Ugandi tribe, whose belief in a prophesied priestess makes them vulnerable to deceit. On her way to the Ugandi’s village, she encountered a group of European explorers under attack by cheetahs, and she rescued them. The explorers put on some gorilla costumes, and knock Saari off a cliff into a river. The men planned to pursue a treasure while the Ugandi tribe conducts rituals to summon their priestess. The white priestess (a member of the explorer party) arrived with the fake apes. Saäri was delayed by a battle with a “river devil,” but she sneaked into the Ugandi village through a cave and discovers the explorers, now unmasked, counting their stolen loot. The leader, Slade, disguised as the priestess’ spokesman, declared her imminent return to rule the tribe but mistakenly identifies a real ape as one of his disguised accomplices.

Saäri revealed the explorers' deception. They were are captured and the sacred ape (the real one) was secured.

Saari is a strong warrior woman, who easily overpowered various human males and she also was adapt to the jungle environment
