Mighty Mite was Mickey, a young American boy living in the city of Rosedale. When his female friend, Teena, invited him to come to her costume party, he dressed up as a superhero named Mighty Mite. When he arrived at the party, he found that the crooks were holding the guests hostage. He managed to defeat the criminals through sheer luck rather than any particular effort, but the guests didn't know that, so he became a town hero.

From that point on, Mickey operated as Mighty Mite 24/7. Teena, who became his girlfriend, frequently accompanied Mickey on his adventures.

He remained supernaturally lucky but, to his credit, he tried his best to rise to his reputation and actually put some effort into crime-fighting. He is a gifted inventor; he creates a dirigible autogyro from a helium filled dinghy and two large helium balloons and also builds a high performance monoplane glider.

In his superhero form, he has oversized gloves that function as boxing gloves.

In Captain Aero Comics #21 he reveals that he can use the "Gazook Ring" to change between his normal form as Mickey Mite and his super powered form as the Mighty Mite, thanks to the intervention of the power of The Master Mite. The Master Mite is depicted as a menacing adult form of Mickey albeit one that seems thuggish and muscular.

One issue later, and it is revealed the ring is actually the Gazooka Ring with an A. It is given to Mickey by Princess Make A Wish who appears to Mickey one night when he is crying in bed, terribly sad that he has no big tough-but-good brother to be with him and protect him. Through the magic of Princess Make A Wish, the entity known as The Master Mite now permanently linked to the Gazooka Ring confers his powers on Mickey whenever Mickey wears the ring.

To his credit, Mickey tries his best to solve his problems first in this new iteration of the Mighty Mite character, and now transforms Captain Marvel style when he puts on the magic ring.
