Flap was the girlfriend of Flip the Frog. She appears in the cartoon “Puddle Pranks” (1930).

In the annual, she is dressed in a ladylike polka-dot skirt, high heels, a bonnet, and carrying a matching umbrella, Flap plays the role of a proper, high-society dame who demands strict social etiquette, famously rebuffing Flip's over-confident advances because they "have never been introduced."

Despite her refined outfit, she acts as a fierce anchor for the book’s physical comedy; when Flip attempts to use slick wordplay or gets too close, Flap quickly drops her polite demeanor to violently shove or punch him into the nearest body of water. This repetitive, classic slapstick dynamic is perfectly encapsulated in the recurring "FLIP, FLAP, FLOP!" comic sequence, where Flip flirts, Flap strikes, and Flip ends up flopping helplessly into the pond.
