Janie Jackson was a demure, feminine schoolgirl (a perfect 50s girl, really). Or at least, that was the act she put on in public. Unbeknownst to her police detective father, Lieutenant Charles Jackson, and her brother, Bill Jackson, Janie was secretly the crime-fighting Tomboy (since Bill had a crush on Tomboy, that was probably for the best). She had no powers, but she was a skilled fighter. She fought the villain known as the Claw in her first appearance.

*Tomboy is possibly the first female kid superhero (or to specify even more, heroine) who wasn't someone's sidekick.
