In Greek mythology, Khione was the Greek goddess of snow and the daughter of Boreas, the god of the north wind. Her mother was Orithyia, a daughter of Erechtheus, the king of Athens.

Khione was the sister of Cleopatra (wife of Phineus, king of Thrace) and the Argonauts, Calaïs and Zetes. According to a late, though generally accepted tradition, Khione was the mother of Poseidon's son Eumolpus whom she threw into the ocean for fear of her father's reaction; however, Eumolpus is rescued and raised by Poseidon.

Another Khione in Greek myth was a mortal princess known for her great beauty, but alongside her beauty came an inflated sense of her own worth, compared to the gods, hubris which bring about her death. She slept with both Apollo and Hermes subsequently giving birth to two demi-gods, Autolycus, son of Hermes, and Philammon, son of Apollo.

She later gained self-confidence and boasted that she was better than Artemis, because two gods fell in love with her and zero had fallen for Artemis. After hearing of this boast, Artemis took her bow and shot an arrow through the tongue of Khione so that she could boast no more. Khione eventually died from this wound due to blood loss.

Her father Daedalion was so grief-stricken that he sought to commit suicide, and eventually decided to throw himself from Mount Parnassus. However Apollo took pity upon the father of Khione, and transformed him into a hawk before he hit the ground.

* In the ''Flash'' television series, Khione, formerly known as Snow, was an alternate personality of Caitlin Snow created when Caitlin and Mark Blaine tried to resurrect Frost, until she left Caitlin's body to ascend. According to Khione, she is a "goddess".
