The Giantess is one of the earliest giant helium character balloons from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (then known as the Macy's Christmas Parade.)

The Giantess made her debut in the 1928 Parade and was one of the first balloons made for the parade. The design itself, made by Tony Sarg, takes the appearance of a 25-foot tall giantess attached to a truck. The balloon only made one appearance and was disposed of a short time later.
