Lippy Lu was the granddaughter of a resourceful elderly woman known as Granny Gumshoe. Lippy Lu often serves as a catalyst for her grandmother’s adventures, often calling her into action with a simple, energetic “GRANDMA!”

Granny Gumshoe is an inventive, crime-solving elder who creates gadgets—such as an umbrella capable of spraying substances—to aid in her investigations. Lippy Lu’s enthusiasm and curiosity frequently draw her grandmother into mysteries and strange adventures, including those depicted in stories such as Van Morbidd’s Model, the Talking Dog, and the Globe of Doom.
