Joan Carter is an adventurer and the daughter of Professor Carter. She travels to Gorilla Land to assist her father’s research and quickly proves herself as capable as any member of the expedition. She develops a close relationship with Duke Peters, who often acts as her protector and love interest.

Joan combines intelligence with determination, often taking active roles in defending the camp, communicating with native tribes, and uncovering clues to the mysteries of Gorilla Land.
