Anne Brontë was the youngest Brontë sibling, an English novelist and poet. She grew up in Haworth, Yorkshire, and spent periods as a student and governess. In 1846, she co-published Poems by Currer, Ellis, and Acton Bell with her sisters under the pen name Acton Bell.

Her novels include Agnes Grey (1847) and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall (1848), the latter regarded as an early feminist work. Anne died at 29, likely from tuberculosis. While less celebrated than her sisters, both of her novels are now recognized as classics of English literature.
