When America was threatened by saboteur Herr Von Crane, Don Lawson, a former Ohio State University football player, was inspired by the example of his father, who was a martyr for his country, to do something about it. So he bought a bulletproof Mountie costume through mail order and became the crime fighter known as Scarlet Sentry.
