Bess Blushmore is an attractive young woman, who is searching for the whereabouts of her missing prospector father. Sydney Snodgrass silences any witnesses and deceives the young woman into believing that her father has passed away, planning to abduct her for ransom. However, his scheme is thwarted by the arrival of the handsome and valiant mounty Dudley Doright. The episode, however, ends on a cliffhanger as Sydney uses a golden whistle to generate an avalanche, cracking the ice they are standing on.
