“Pirate Jenny” (German: Seeräuber-Jenny) is a song from The Threepenny Opera. It tells the story of Low-Dive Jenny, a lowly maid or prostitute, who was inspired by the historical Jenny Diver and also a character borrowed from John Gay's The Beggar's Opera, who fantasizes about revenge on those who scorn her. In her imagination, a pirate ship attacks the town, chains up the townspeople, and lets Jenny order their execution before she sails away with the pirates.

Originally performed by Polly Peachum in Act One as a fantasy of avenging her parents’ control, the song is often reassigned to Jenny in Act Two, reflecting her jealousy and desire for power over her former lover, Mackie, whom she ultimately betrays to the authorities. The song is one of the most famous numbers in the opera, alongside “Mack the Knife.”
