Dangerous Nan McGrew follows the story of Nan, the star performer in a traveling medicine show. One of the troupe members, Muldoon, is secretly a fugitive wanted for murder. When the group becomes stranded at the snowbound hunting lodge of a wealthy woman, they put on a Christmas Eve performance for the guests. During the show, the landlady’s nephew—a saxophone player—falls in love with Nan. Meanwhile, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are closing in on Muldoon. In the end, Nan, a talented sharpshooter as well as a singer, helps bring the situation to a resolution.
