Wealthy collector Harker Bliss hired Sarge Steel to guard his jewels, but Lynx managed to steal them by having her trained ocelot swallow the gems. She later orchestrated another heist by disguising a famous statue in clothing and sneaking it out of the World’s Fair. Fleeing to her base on Cat Cay, Lynx was pursued by Steel, who tracked her down. She set her leopard on him, but he killed it, and when she attempted to distract him with charm while reaching for his weapon, he caught on. Steel turned her over to the authorities, but she escaped custody by leaping into shark-infested waters rather than face prison.
