The Vahines are a race of fierce tiger-women introduced in the 1941 ''The Tiger-Women of Wildmoon Mountain'' story featuring Fantomah.

Living on Wildmoon Mountain, the Vahines launch a savage campaign to wipe out all other women in the world. Their invasion threatens the jungle until Fantomah uses her supernatural powers to rally the animals against them. After defeating the tiger-women, she traps the entire race inside a gigantic moonstone and hurls it through space to Mars, destroying them.
