Vyra Gallant appears in the story “The Man Who Robbed the Dead / Captain Triumph” as a deceptive figure who claims to be the widow of Michael Gallant.

After the death of Michael’s godfather, Emmet Darcy, Michael inherits money intended for medical research. Lance Gallant plans to honor that intention, but Vyra suddenly emerges and asserts that she is Michael’s surviving spouse and rightful heir. Her claim is part of a scheme to take control of the inheritance.

Lance investigates and ultimately exposes her as an imposter, proving that the marriage certificate she presents is a forgery. With her deception uncovered, her attempt to claim the inheritance is stopped, allowing Lance and his allies, including
Kim Meredith and Biff, to proceed with the intended donation.
