Gerda Cairo is Warren's wealthy, wheelchair-bound wife who is widely rumored in her household and neighborhood to dabble in witchcraft, secret potions, and hexes. Despite her physical limitations, she possesses an intense, commanding presence and a mystical "Evil Eye" capable of transfixing her husband. Though physically overpowered and left to die in the car by Warren, Gerda's dark supernatural abilities or premonitions ultimately triumph. Whether through a psychic curse that drove Warren mad or a genuine occult execution, she completely orchestrates his demise from afar. She survives the ordeal entirely unscathed and calmly identifies Warren's mangled corpse for the police, playing the role of the mourning widow while secretly gloating over her victory.
