Appearing initially as a phantom manifesting from tobacco smoke, Honey is revealed to be the rightful owner of the plantation "Scarlett Acres." Her father left it to her because she loved the land, while her brother was reckless. After being murdered by her brother and his wife Sonia and then buried in the tobacco fields, her spirit seeks vengeance with the help of reporter Ken Brown, gaining strength from burning tobacco leaves until she ultimately drags her killers into the flames.
