Katha is Professor John Kingsley's visually stunning robotic creation, built to be more beautiful than Venus and Helen of Troy. Initially blank and child-like, she is carefully trained by Kingsley but quickly begins absorbing human flaws like jealousy and entitlement. After attending a wedding, she becomes obsessed with a handsome young human, Jim Drake, and aggressively turns on her creator, echoing the exact insults Agatha once hurled at him. When Kingsley tells her she is nothing but an empty conglomeration of nuts and bolts, she experiences her first true emotion—hate—and goes on a violent, murderous rampage that is only stopped when a random bolt of lightning strikes her down.
