The Quadropel Men are a fanatical subterranean race that inhabits deep underground caverns and worships steam as their supreme deity. Green-skinned and finned, they are an amphibious people, with certain elite members and executioners distinguished by possessing four arms. Their society is deeply ritualistic, gathering in large numbers to perform synchronized chants and ceremonies in honor of their Steam Gods.

The Quadropel Men capture Jerry Peterson with the intent of forcing her to marry their leader, Mighty Ciro. When she fiercely resists, they condemn her to be sacrificed in a religious ritual over a steaming cauldron. Their civilization ultimately meets disaster when Chuck Hardy topples their sacred steam idol, unleashing a torrent of scalding water that devastates their underground temple and scatters the fanatical tribe.
