Vilma starts out as an exotic gypsy girl invited to Flo Blain’s Halloween party, where she immediately draws the attention of Steve. After engaging in a hypnotic, superstitious flirtation with him beneath a mysterious "Philosopher Tree," she unknowingly becomes the target of a vengeful curse cast by a jealous Flo. This curse causes her to transform nightly into a terrifying, monstrous "Vampire Cat" creature that must feed on human prey to avoid permanently turning into a cat. Initially horrified by her transformation and seeking a cure from a roadside crone, Vilma quickly embraces the diabolical power, using her predatory instincts to unleash a reign of terror and actively plot against Flo. Her transformation ultimately becomes permanent when dawn breaks during a final struggle, trapping her evil essence forever inside the body of a normal black cat.
