Nanon is the young daughter of circus owner Antonio Zanzi and the object of both Alonzo's and Malabar's affection. She suffers from a severe phobia of men's hands due to past trauma, making it difficult for her to accept physical affection from others. Because she believes Alonzo is armless, she feels safe in his company and develops a close emotional bond with him. Over time, however, Malabar's patience and kindness help her overcome her fear, allowing her to embrace a healthier relationship.
