Kent Thurston is really the crime fighter, Invisible Hood. He initially could not turn invisible, but later Kent listened to his radio and heard announcement of the kidnapping of an invisibility formula's inventor. The Invisible Hood goes after the kidnappers and saves the scientist who gives Kent the formula as thanks.

Invisible Hood had a police contact named Inspector Bill Blake who helped him.
