Warlock the Wizard was a stage magician who, unknown to many, had genuine magical powers. He used those abilities to fight crime, using the magic word, Abraxas. He was assisted by his pet raven, Hugin, who could speak.

Warlock had a treasure trove of magic items he kept in his trunk. He fought enemies such as Baron Garth, Vampires, Kor Deno, the Firebug, Trenk, John Kell, Killer Staley, and Dr. Andro.
