Amoeba Men were an aggressive species of amoeba-like aliens that are said to originate from Saturn and foes of Lance Lewis. The technology of their race was unique, but similar to the tech possessed by Earth at the time including laser weapons and spaceships.

They captured the astronomer Marna who was working as a fighter pilot and tortured her to learn the trade routes which she refused to give up. Lance rescued her from the Amoeba Men and the pair became a intergalactic mystery solving couple.

Amoeba Men had several unique powers thanks to their physiology. These included the ability to survive unaided in a vacuum, shape-shifting, mass manipulation, telepathy, being unaffected by physical blows, and the ability to swallow and digest prey with their acidic bodies. Energy weapons or attacks are effective against them however.
