Kinks Mason was a deep-sea diver who equipped with a specialized diving helmet explorers the wonders of the ocean and investigates its mysteries. During his adventurers, Kinks encounter numerous undersea races both hostile and friendly. Some of his enemies included the Seaweed Creatures and their Queen, the Goors, Sneely, the Amphibians, the Link People, a gang of pirates, and a group of poachers.

His allies included the Proconians, the Queen of the Underwater City, and Lord Satur. Kinks also had Battler, his trained pet seal, whom he saved from poachers.

*Edited re-prints of Fiction House's Kinks Mason from ''Fight Comics'' were used for Deep Sea Dawson's adventures in ''Captain Flight Comics''.
