Deep Sea Dawson was a deep-sea diver who, equipped with a specialized diving helmet, explores the wonders of the ocean and investigates its mysteries. During his adventurers, Dawson encounter numerous undersea races both hostile and friendly. Some of his enemies included the Seaweed Creatures and their Queen.

Dawson also had an animal sidekick named Battler, who was a trained seal saved from poachers.
