Streak Chandler along with Professor Finlay and his daughter Vola were originally taken captive by the Lokis, a race of birdmen. However they became allies after Streak subdued the Brontauris, a Martian sea monster. The Lokis even gave Streak artificial wings to help them against threats such as the Gas-Men of Mars and the Space Pirate from Venus.
