Danny Blake gained the ability to become invisible from a chemical spill in Professor Williard Crown's laboratory. The spill occurred when "Scars" Mason tried to steal the professor's formula for which could turn any metal into gold. Invisible Boy used his new powers to capture "Scars" Mason.

Invisible Boy's other adventures included foiling the Comrade's plans to sabotage Grand City's newspaper and radio station, showing up Percy after he stole a date with Danny's crush Margie, and capturing counterfeiters who dressed as ghosts and used a haunted house as their headquarters.
